Jamie Finlay live @ The Mint Lounge, Manchester, March 14th

Manchester's very own Jamie Finlay will be making a rare hometown appearance at the Mint Lounge, Oldham Street, Manchester, M4 1LE. Just £5 to get in and this includes the Nish Nash Nosh club night afterwards. The live show starts at 9pm

Jamie Finlay is a singer, songwriter, producer and DJ from Manchester. His releases on fiercely independent soul jazz label Wah Wah 45s have garnered rave reviews and established Jamie as a burgeoning figure in the underground UK music scene. His releases have sold as far afield as Japan, Australia, America and all over Europe and have racked up heavyweight DJ support along the way from the likes of Mr Scruff, Gilles Peterson and Domu to name but a few!

Critics have long been tipping Finlay as "a name to watch" and have compared his sound to Prince, Plantlife, George Clinton, Ray Charles and even legendary producers the Mizell Brothers. Jamie's live show, fronted by the man himself on lead vocals, has been tearing up venues across the UK and 2008 saw the band perform a support slot for Roy Ayers at the Jazz Cafe and headliners at Cargo and the Pigalle Club
