Spinnerty

Latest release on the recordbreakin label which brought us Move me and 99 Bottles from Kissey Asplund.

Spinnerty is a San Fransico based DJ and producer and he brought us a 7" with two sides of mellow groove goodness. One side featuring the soulful vocals of Miles Bonny, a strong contender for inclusion on 21st Century Volume 3. The other side has passthefeelingon favourite Replife supplying the rhymes.

Shea Soul

Two of my favourite records this year have been by Restless Soul and featured the vocals of the very talented Shea Soul. One of them is Turn me out, rocking a big Greedy G sample and featured in the youtube clip below.

The other, Draw Your Bow released on the excellent Especial label out of Japan.

I'm sure we'll hear plenty of Shea Soul on the forthcoming Phlash and Friends album and hopefully more output in the "street soul" style of the two tracks featured here.
